Leadership Lessons From U5 Soccer

I love watching my child’s U5 (under five) soccer.  My youngest plays on a team with 12 other children.  Soccer at this level is essentially a gaggle of children who chase the ball around the field, kicking at it wildly. They often don’t recognize whether it’s a team member who has control of the ball or a competitor.  They frequently mix up which direction to kick the ball.  They are completely motivated by the chance to kick the ball and make a goal, with even the latter being optional.  It’s a ton of fun to watch as a parent.   Continue reading
